I was in Oregon City this spring (and the previous 5 years as well) catching Sturgeon. I wouldn’t get a lot done if I lived there. It would be all fish, all the time.
Just one (a small one) of many we caught. Such a cool area!

Of course, because I am in the sometimes goshforsaken and sometimes deplorable rust belt right now, with snow forecast for tonight, while at home, it is 50F and pleasant. I’ll be home in just under a week, let’s see when it cools off and dampens up.

I’ve lived in the area for 4 years now and I have done an embarrassingly little amount of exploring. Dur ing those 4 years I’ve bought 2 houses, renovated a house, moved 4 times, had a baby, worked 2 jobs and I’ve been doing full-time college.
I’m nearly done on this home renovation, and I graduate in the spring. Then maybe I can go fishing!

There is nothing quite like hooking into one of those Sturgeon. Watching a 8-9' fish jump all the way out of the water is pretty amazing. You should go, sounds like you deserve the break!

Dude, I was all excited to keep riding my scooter through fall ... then we didn’t get fall. We had like 6 days in the 50's. It basically went from the 70's to the 30's in two weeks.

Sad! I remember those years growing up in MN. I don’t miss the frigid temps and salty roads one bit.
